Building Stronger School Teams

Two-Part Workshop Series

This two-session series is designed to help teachers and middle leaders build the habits, structures, and relationships that make school teams truly effective. Anchored in the Looking at Our School 2022 framework, the workshops explore how the domains of Developing Leadership Capacity, Leading School Development, and Managing the Organisation can shape strong collaborative practice.

Across the two sessions, participants will work through practical scenarios, examine common team challenges, and develop strategies for communication, decision-making, and trust-building. The series provides a supportive and interactive space to reflect, refine, and strengthen how teams work together to enhance teaching and learning.

Facilitator: Kieran Sweeney
Kieran Sweeney is an accredited post-primary coach with extensive experience as an Assistant Principal I, Deputy Principal, Principal, and former Director of the Limerick Education Centre. A certified leadership coach and approved competency-based interview chairperson with the JMB, he brings a practical, grounded approach to supporting schools in building high-performing, student-focused teams.
