26LC 04 018 SG (CESC) - Podcasting Fundamentals – 3 week course

WORKSHOP DATES: WEDNESDAY 15TH, 22ND & 29TH APRIL 2026

So, you want to create a podcast, but don’t know where to start? Well for teachers and students alike eager to get on the mic, this is for you!

Learn the fundamentals of podcasting through the 4 P’s, ‘Production’, ‘Presenting’ and ‘Post-

Production’ and ‘Publishing’.

1. Production is the first step, from planning your podcast to finding your niche, creating content and scriptwriting.

2. Presenting comes next and mastering the art of presenting & interview skills.

3. Recording good quality audio is essential, it’s just as important to make your sound pristine to please all ears and purchasing the equipment to make it happen.

4. Post Production – What do you do with what you’ve recorded. Audio editing is a useful skill to learn for post-production, to create a catchy intro/outro for the show, to make any necessary changes or edits before publishing your podcast online.

5. Publishing – How and where do you get your podcast online? If it’s not online, nobody knows it exists. But we’ll have you covered.

Podcasting is a useful medium for students, it offers skills in researching guests or topics, interviewing skills, presenting & public speaking as well as how to create content. If offers alternative option of medium outside of writing for school topics.
